ABOUT US

Following the loss of his son, Kenneth, to AIDS in December 2007, Joe Stern-McGovern turned the focus of his company, Universal Artists, International, from one of pure profit to one which would benefit the world community and mankind.

In the name of humanity and the well being of its condition, Joe Stern-McGovern founded this site, which is dedicated to inform and educate its audience about HIV/AIDS, raise donations for various charitable organizations which fight against HIV/AIDS, and entertain the general public in the course of our efforts.

OUR VISION

Through our artistic efforts, Joe Stern-McGovern and Universal Artists, International seek to put a stop to the disease which plagues all of mankind through our satellite site, www.endhivaids.com. We seek an age to come which is free of wont, need, burden of fear, as well as the grief of losing our family and friends to HIV/AIDS. Our goal is to raise money, muster emotional support, and change society's discriminatory view of HIV/AIDS from that of a shameful disease which brands the reckless and immoral, to one which is viewed as universal regardless of age, sex, politics, or circumstance.

IT'S A CALL TO ARTISTS DOMESTICALLY AND ABROAD OF ALL GENRES TO

DONATE THEIR TIME AND TALENT TO SERVE AIDS CHARITIES BY ENTERTAINING PATRONS AND CONTRIBUTING TOWARDS CHANGE AND THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE HUMAN CONDITION.

River Cuts the Snow

I sit on bench and stare
Through glass with chipped paint pane
Too dusty to view the fields
In which you played last fall
Born third week of winter
You lit these fields with gold
This fire burst in folds
To who does the curled peak call?
Then the wind stole you, my child
As quickly as you’d come
It was as if this never was
Where does this river run?
Gone like a gossamer puff on dale
As I listen to the ptarmigan sing
If we could imagine beyond such things
If it hadn’t been for AIDS
Hail falling in clumps like fists
Silver fox which dies before age
A gnarled pine which never fades
Dew which sits on lotus at noon
So fine a man you’d have made
I sit on bank a ghost’s shell
The fallen mallard lost to hope
I thought I heard you lost in this storm
As I watch river cut the snow

For my son, Kenneth
